Michael Rice

Michael Rice

Michael Rice is an Instructor of Practice in the Mechatronics program at Utah Tech University, bringing more than a decade of teaching and industry experience to the classroom. He specializes in industrial automation, FANUC robotics, motion controls, AutoCAD Electrical, and mechanical systems. Before joining Utah Tech, he taught at Tooele Technical College and Dixie Technical College. His professional background includes work across heavy equipment shops, oil fields, and mine sites throughout Utah, Idaho, and Wyoming. Beyond teaching, Rice is an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys CrossFit, canyoneering, trail running, and mountain biking.
