St. George has always been my home. I grew up climbing and camping on the Red Hill, swimming and diving at the city pool, as well as inventing and building a variety of things. My favorite idea I worked on throughout my years attending Dixie Junior High and Dixie High was what I called an air-car. My designs looked very much like today’s drones with four propellers. However, by the time I started attending Dixie College in 1979, I realized propellers were noisy and unsafe. This realization, among others, led me to study physics. I wanted to figure out a new way of levitation by learning what gravity is and why it works the way it does. After marrying my Sweetheart, I obtained an AS degree from Dixie College. My wife and I then moved to Logan where I obtained a BS degree in Physics from USU. We then moved to Provo where I obtained an MS degree in Physics from BYU. We moved back to St. George where I started teaching physics, math, and astronomy at Dixie College in 1995. I have taught a number of math, physics, and astronomy courses over the years. I currently teach the College Physics courses required for Biology and Pre-Med majors. My wife and I have a total of eight children and twenty-five grandchildren. My family is my greatest joy, with studying and teaching physics a close second.
